The Human Stain by Philip RothMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
An interesting book about human nature, north-american society… The main character, Coleman Silk, has a secret. He is an old scholar in an American collegue. He’s been the dean, but he resigned when people accused him of being a racist, because he had told in class about two students he didn’t know if they were “spooks”, a word that means not only ghost, but some racist word against coloured people. The book is a masterpiece, but reading in English was a little bit difficult for me.
